The strange point of polishing a game

It's not having a game fully playable from start to finish, but adding a logo and disclaimers to the start up, that makes it feel like a real game! xD

But for real, the game is now drawn, scripted and playable from start to finish. I've completed a first playthrough of the game and I, as could be expected, found a heap of bugs. I spent the rest of the week fixing them and fixed they became!

I also created an autosave for the game, so you don't have to rely on manual saving. There is only one autosave slot though, so it's pretty rudimentary. I'm gonna go for another playthrough and hope that the autosave doesn't turn out bad and buggy.

This is a strange and exciting point to be in the development of the game because it hovers around completion, with problems and little polishments turning up. Some have even said that this is the most time consuming part of developing a game! But I'm not so sure myself. On the one hand I don't want to stall just because of something somebody has said, on the other, I don't want to rush to release a buggy game.

I think careful progress, with a hint of meticulousness, is the key!

Thanks for reading!
